Imorgon är det julafton och man undrar vad som hände! Hur kunde tiden gå så snabbt?! Inspirationen till årets dörrkrans fick jag efter en sväng på Gamlia julmarknad. Det kändes almoge och kul men en krans som inte var rund. Stommen är gjord av en gammal dagstidning som jag rullat till ett långt rör och tejpat ihop. Därefter har jag lindat granris och dekorerat med gräs, band och kottar och röda dekorationsbollar köpta från Paduro. Jag tycker den blev rätt bra på vår dörr. Och med den så önskar jag alla mina läsare en riktigt god jul och ett gott nytt kreativt år!

 

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve which is the main day for celebration i Sweden. Its then the christmas presents are given out (often after the evening meal - iow...a long wait for the children, with everything it entailes!). This years door wreath was inspired from an old style i saw at the Gamlia Christmas Market. I like the folklore style we call "Almoge", and in an oval shape instead of round. The base is made out the old morning paper rolled up to a tube before being taped. On top of that i have placed the fir branches and decorated it with gras, pine cones and ribbons - and some red fake berries bought at Panduro. I think it suited our front door pretty well!
